Peacemakers tend to focus more on brokering a deal than on its execution. As a result, peace agreements are often vague and the following implementation processes mired in complexity. Agreements are too often only partially implemented, if at all.
This PeaceLab explores innovative tools and approaches that can help make peace work and last. Drawing on learnings from a recent successful peace process in Mozambique, as well as exploring the potential of smart contracts, the PeaceLab will focus on how to enhance commitment, provide incentives, and empower conflict parties.
