Roman Koller is a Research Associate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Logistics from TU Dortmund University. He focuses on integrating material, information and financial flows in supply chains. As part of a team of researchers, he applies various innovative digital technologies, such as blockchain, and analyze their capabilities for future supply chains. Roman has a special interest in logistics processes in foreign trade, especially in connection with customs processes. Currently, he is involved in multiple projects exploring the use of open-source blockchain technology, for deforestation-free commodities or customs clearance.
