María Paulina Riveros is a lawyer for the Universidad Externado de Colombia. She served as Deputy Attorney General of the nation and was the first plenipotentiary woman assigned by the National Government to the negotiation table which led to the signing of the Peace Accord with the Revolutionary Armed Forces FARC-EP. She was Deputy Minister for Participation and Equal Rights in the Ministry of the Interior and Chair of the Centre of Conciliation of the Office of the Inspector General of Colombia. She currently works for the lawfirm Riveros Bazzani. She holds a Masters Degree in Insurance Law from the Ponticia Universidad Javeriana and from Legal Conciliator of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá
