In complex and often contentious environments such as humanitarian crises and peace negotiations, the need for systematic planning under tight time and resource constraints is paramount. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers a significant added value in planning and conducting complex negotiations by providing advanced analytical capabilities, predictive modelling and decision-making support.
In this session, participants will experience the application of AI-driven tools in negotiation scenarios and learn about the customisation of these tools for their specific negotiation contexts. Besides introducing AI’s potential in negotiations, we will also discuss challenges around AI’s applicability as well as data privacy and security concerns in sensitive negotiations. The session is run by Frontline Associates, an organisation working with the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Science & MIT to develop AI-enhanced planning tools for mediators and negotiators.
